...... to Overcome Defeat

Hey guys, I hope your easter was bliss.  Just reading through a book , I came across this article, put in little touches here and there and thought to myself  'this could be helpful to someone somewhere'

There is a silver lining in every cloud. Consider the clouds in this man's career:

   He was a grade-school dropout.
He went bankrupt running a small country store and spent fifteen years paying off his debts.
He ran for office in the House of representatives and was defeated twice.
He ran for office in the Senate and was defeated twice.
He was attacked daily by the press.
He was despised by half a nation.
He had several physical problems and was described as less than handsome.
During his term as President, his country went through its bloodiest period ever.
Even when he delivered a speech that became a classic, the audience either was indifferent or thought it was too short.

Despite the clouds, imagine how many people all over the world for over a hundred years have been inspired by this awkward, rumpled, and brooding man - ABRAHAM LINCOLN.  Don't give up. Every cloud has its silver lining.

Abraham Lincoln was a great man who did great things. Throughout his experiences of defeat he was encouraged by many factors - perhaps mostly by the influence of his mother. Will you give in, or will you listen for encouragement and overcome defeat?

Note; Defeat is nothing but education and the first step to something better.
