Anger issues..

Season greetings sweets. I know its been a while, my sincere apologies.
Oh well today I took particular interest in the topic 'Anger' it's not something new but it's surprisingly interesting.
Anger is like every other emotion felt by humans but its exceptionally 'powerful'. It is a strong feeling of annoyance, displeasure, hostility and belligerence aroused by a wrong or wrath. At a point of time in life, one is bound to be angry. The important thing is controlling it positively.

I'd like to highlight a few causes of anger that are quite bothersome:
1) When experiencing physical/sexual abuse (traumatic stress disorder)
2) Hiding other emotions such as hurt, sadness, loneliness & grief.
3) Having mismanaged stress coming from work, loss of a loved one or unhappy relationship.
4) And most importantly, lack of sleep (chronic insomnia, sleep apnea)

Now to the main reason for the post, my ways of controlling anger.
1) Identify what you're angry with/at
2) Express your anger once you're calm.
3) Think before you speak, then set boundaries about what you will and won't tolerate.
4) Own your emotions; sarcasm is a way of expressing anger, a simple rephrasing of your feelings can help you feel more in control.
5) Walking away from what you're angry with/at also helps
6) Listening to music.
7) Meditating also assists in clearing one's mind.
8) And...... Always remember to eat. Sometimes anger could be triggered on an empty stomach.

Note: Anger prevents you from achieving your goals & purposes, causes distress and self harm. Always remind yourself that anger won't make you feel better but worse .
